Disaster Recovery (DR) is the core service of Comeback’s portfolio.
Based on the experiences we could collect over more than a decade in the area of mainframes with this important part of a comprehensive failure precautions plan for IT operations, today COMback can offer both the device infrastructure and the human resources for a state-of-the-art protection on all common platforms. The event to be protected against is defined as the disaster incident. This can best be avoided with a maximum of security for the client's production data center. COMback's Consulting Services can play an important role in achieving this.
If, however, a disaster incident in which the client’s data center infrastructure has taken maximum damage has occurred, a functional disaster recovery plan is called for. Precise definitions and service levels are required for this as well as a well-documented disaster recovery manual, which has to be updated and completed regularly, and a service provider who has the tested procedures and methods, highly skilled staff, and infrastructures (rooms, machines, network) to counter the disaster of any customer. Running such a concept requires regular tests to check and document all required and promised measures. Only in this way can the legal requirements be fulfilled in a correct data center operation.
